She Saw Herself Give In

History: When Naminé was born to her two parents in a small town outside of Surrey it was a joyous occasion. Her parents were very loving and instilled in her at a young age a love for the imagination and of learning. Even as a child, Naminé was shy. Her mother home-schooled her, so she never really experienced other children, except, of course, when she was taken to the park. Naminé really enjoyed the outdoors and would beg her parents to go to the park as often as possible. She met Riku here a few times and made friends with him very quickly, despite their age gap. Being one of the few friends she had, he stands out vividly in her mind, despite being so young when they met. She would often sit with him and draw the things he described in his imagination. Naminé was fascinated by the world he created and wished she could find such a place.

These innocent times weren’t to last forever. Around the time of Naminé’s 7th birthday, her father was transferred to another town for his work. Naminé never forgot her friendship with him, although she was sad because she never thought she’d see him again. She mostly went into her own little world after that. Drawing more than ever before, but still doing well with her home schooling. Still, her parents worried for her because she didn’t seem to want to make friends with the few children in their neighborhood. Eventually they decided it might be better to send her to an actual school.
Funny enough, this decision came around the same time as her letter to Hogwarts. What her parents had not realized was that the neighborhood children had seen strange acts of magic occur around Naminé and had been frightened away from her, calling her names and other such cruel things, as children will do.

When she discovered the letter to Hogwarts, Naminé saw it as a sign. Perhaps, just perhaps, she would find Riku here. She wasn’t sure what prompted this idea, other than the fact that Riku had similar fantasies of a magical place. She was more than happy to go and her parents were not hard to convince otherwise.

Being sorted was probably the most terrifying experience in Naminé’s life. However, once she was in her house, she felt a little more comfortable. She didn’t open up easily to the other students but quickly found out that Riku was amongst the students there, though a few years ahead of her. Being close to Riku meant that she eventually made friends with Sora, a boy a year ahead of her that was very outgoing and friendly. While she made a few other friends of course, she was mostly close to the two boys. She liked them both and when she found out the duel that had occurred between them, was very upset.

Naminé has had a hard time in her classes as of late because of the incident. However, she did stay at the school, mostly keeping more to herself.

Everytime She Closed Her Eyes

Personality: Naminé is very timid and shy when she first meets anyone and can sometimes be that way for awhile. While she is slow to open up, she is very loyal to people she cares for. She is a kind person and is very warm and concerned for the well being of those she calls friends. She wishes she could be stronger at times and sometimes has trouble standing up for herself but she is slowly learning how to be a bit more assertive when it comes to her own well being. Of course, that doesn’t mean she isn’t still easily manipulated. She can be a bit too trusting of others sometimes; especially if she thinks they care about her.

A bit gullible, she despises confrontation of any sort. Naminé is very much the quiet sort as well. This sort of goes in hand with the non-confrontational. She’d much rather draw and listen to other people’s problems than burden others with her own. Naminé also enjoys the marshmallow flavor in Bertie-Bott’s Every Flavor Bean.
